Again, this "type of magic" is out of my preference zone. This trick doesn't work every time, and I
found it to be kind of risky. It relies solely on "mental reactions" and won't work on just anyone.
This is again a trick that I never use, and I don't think I ever will. Sorry.

This is not an easy demonstration to perform and takes a good deal of commitment to make it work, as well as an experienced performer. I say it's a demonstration and not a trick because it's genuinely a demonstration of controlling someone else's physiological and mental abilities. It's not an illusion that uses subterfuge. You're doing exactly what you are proposing, to the participant. Like anything that is real, there are limits. Stephen Curry can teach you to throw 3 pointers, but even he misses sometimes. There is no guarantee when doing the real thing. It's a valuable skill that takes practice and over time your average success rate gets higher. It's just a matter of how much you personally value such a skill.
