This principle is very old. First time I read it about the book Charles Jordan's Best Card Tricks by Karl Fulves. There was also the simplified method by Joe Berg, which Titanas use in his trick.
I have done this totally different way and there is absolutely no face up spreads, which is the weakness of this trick.
The other is of course that there are no credits to these gentlemen. Shame on you!
