First, this does what it says it does and its "oK". If you really wanna learn how to vanish a coin
or do a transposition, I'd suggest you buy a book or two first.
I didn't really see much of
anything NEW here at all with the possible exception of the coin gaff. It is something I hadn't
come across before but I just didn't find it to be all that special.
Issues I had with
it.... First, you need to wear a sport jacket or at the very least an over shirt of some type. Long
sleeves are not required.
My biggest issue with this is the price. really???
Admittedly I have no idea how much a gimmicked coin costs to make but I've had much better
gimmicked coins than this for a lot less. Plus, they didn't bother including the suggested different
colored coin for the transposition. Since that is the main theme to this effect, you might have
thought they would include a coin that would fit the gimmick. An english penny, which I have a bunch
of won't work well. they suggest a "2 Pence"...I'll just run down to the bank and pick one up. At
least if I were in england I could...but I'm not. Changing it to a US penny just doesn't look as
good in my opinion. Also, other than the gaff coin you have to build the rest of the gimmick. The
materials are supplied.
My opinion is this is way overpriced for the effect. Now that I
own it, I will use it for a short while as a throw away effect. The type of effect I would normally
pay no more than or so.
Again, Just my opinion.... If you are expecting some kind of
revolutionary gimmick, stop.
Now, having said all of that, it does work. So if dollars
seems reasonable, go for it. I hope you enjoy more than I do.
