To make this work on a white iphone, they give you decals to basically turn it black. This renders the phone unexaminable after the trick. The basic idea is sound. The case can't be used as an "everyday" iphone case ... you'll want to put it on for the trick and remove it for "normal" usage. (You can access basic phone functions with the case, but the cameras are occluded, for example.)

I have a white iphone 5c. I scanned the back of the phone, saved it and used it as a white background. No decal necessary.
