The method is very clever, The gimmick is not. It does require you to be tabled for a couple reasons I will not reveal. It is fairly angle sensitive. With that in mind it would play very well if you are seated and the audience come up to you. As far as being able to use a borrowed deck. A little research to make sure the spectator has the proper deck is also a factor.
