If Rudy had taught a trick for every time he mentioned he'd lived with Marylin Manson, this would
have been up there with the Tarbell course. This was an interesting session, but I don't feel it can
be called a lecture. Most of it is basically an interview with no interviewer. Rudy lambastes us
with way too many tales from his fabulous life and nowhere near enough actual magic lecture.
Fascinating as his tales of Manson (did I mention he'd lived with Marylin Manson?), Sharon Osbourne,
Dai Vernon and the cast of thousands were, after four hours of this I longed for something more
substantial than this VIP name dropping orgy. If, like myself, you're a Coby fan, you'll find a lot
of it interesting on a biographical level, but if you're looking for something of a more useful,
practical nature - and I don't mean by this a trick fest - then your money would be best spent on
another lecture. For sheer value for money and creative inspiration, I think the Devin Knight
lecture takes some beating.
