Ok, I think I am the saving grace to the reviews on this product. Here goes:
I took the
plunge and for 10 bucks, I had the flexibility to either love it or hate it. I really like it.
Gimmick: it's a nostalgic piece so the gimmick is what you think it is. It doesn't use Riggs'
technology, but it's reliable. Very. More reliable than many people always gave it credit for. At
the end of the day, that's all that matters.
Uses: since the gimmick is what you think it
is, you will need refills. With the Internet, it's easy to buy it.
It IS NOT an instant
reset. This is strictly pre show. But with material such a Peter Turner 's STEM System and the
untold story of frequent pre show, it necessary to have at your disposal. But at 10 bucks, you get
something that's good.
The placement of the gimmick is actually smart. Fooled the pants
off of me. Even if you don't like the construction, you can use this board to toy with and make
better. Or you can use this board to make it easier accessible. He placement is rather devious. Did
I mention the board is just 10 bucks?
Applications: if you have my (Cedric Taylor)'s
Omniscient, Fly on the Wall, or Gnostic, you can use the "gimmick you think this board uses" to
increase the reliability of my pre show use of any show. You can truly give the appearance of doing
a prop less, almost Derren Brown-esque performance with just a little thought and my material. I'm
all but giving you much as possible with it being full on exposure. But don't sleep on this. At the
very least, you can be inspired.
