I am a beginner/ amateur magician who has been interested in magic for several years but only
recently began getting serious about it. Here are some pros and cons:
Pros:
-A small,
intimate setting with just enough people to get to know your local, fellow magicians but just large
enough to keep you there all day. I was concerned that just being one small room I would get bored
waiting for the lecture at the end but that didn't end up being the case at all. I got there an hour
after it opened and was still interested in everything by the time it closed.
-Incredible
deals. Almost every vendor had deals that you couldn't get anywhere else (effects, sales, etc)
-The lecture at the end. Ammar lectured for us and it was great to learn from and meet one of
the best names in magic!
Cons-
- I only had one complaint- there weren't enough
"supplies." I would have liked to see a supply table with some TT, silks, reels, coins, cards, books
etc. The vendors sold a lot of effects but no general magic supplies.
Overall, I would say
you don't want to miss this event. I had a blast and it created an experience I will never forget.
Lots of laughs and lessons.
