Spent an hour with this one last night. I wanted to like it (I like books...) but just can't
recommend it.
There's a lot of obvious stuff here, and the tricks aren't particularly new,
unique or noteworthy. Most jarring was how dated the patter was... it doesn't sound at all like the
modern approach that Penguin helped spread.
Roberto clearly means well, he worked hard on
polishing this, and my guess is that he's a great performer. But, meh.
I don't think you
need help learning how to milk the audience for applause.
