I rarely write reviews, either when a product is so good, or when it's so bad. Unfortunately, this
one is bad.
The trailer is very very misleading, as it only show the changes (cards turning
over), but that is the smallest part of the effect. Getting in and out of the changes is the most
part, and the didn't show it at all. Once I bought the trick, I saw why. It is VERY difficult to go
in and out of the changes, very illogical and suspicious.
They say that Shin Lim has been
performing this effect for 8 years I believe. Well, I highly doubt that. In only two days, I found a
much better way of doing some of the moves and clean up. But most importantly, Shin Lim ALSO flashes
the moves in the "getting in and out of the changes" when he does it full speed. So if HE flashes
the moves, after 8 years, what am I to expect? It's just so bad...
Also, there are no verbal
explanation, only a text following the video, which would be fine if there wasn't a water mark of
the same font color, covering the first few words of every sentence, so I have to pause and decipher
every sentence.
I am not complaining about the difficulty of the effect, I actually did buy it
because I need a challenge, but there are difficult effects, and there are effects that just can't
be performed. This is one of them. It's too knacky, very hard to hide difficult moves, you are
guaranteed to flash most of the time even if you master the moves (like Shin Lim).
I just wish
they at least showed a glimps of the "getting into the move" on the trailer, but they didn't,
because it flashes.
All in all, I bought many many many products off of Penguin, but this is
the worst one so far.
Cheers!
