I've known of Meir Yedid's work in this area for a long time. I never saw it done well though. It
seemed like every time I saw it done, it was performed by someone who had heard of the work but
never seen Meir perform.
Enter Nick Locapo, who not only put in the time and energy to
learn it properly, he advanced it to it's current form. This is a piece of art. To learn the
basics is very easy, but it's the subtlety and nuance he adds to this very well taught download that
make it work the money. The fact that he has been doing this for years in real world environments
shows when he discusses not only finger placement but audience placement as well.
I've
seen him do this in real life and it looks like trick photography. Finally learning all of the
individual pieces puts into perspective what a good trick this is. No one spends years perfecting
a single trick if it isn't worth performing. There is more than a half hour of instruction and
discussion of this single seemingly simple trick, something a lot of complex card and coin effects
down't get.
Simply put this is a well taught powerful effect that is worth the time an
energy to learn. I loved it when I first saw it. Now I'm thrilled I get to learn it myself for
those rare moments I don't have my cards on me and I need to nail someone to secure a booking.
Professional grade magic for $15. Nick should be charging way more.
