Mr. Luttrell has produced a fantastic review of academic literature on a wide range of topics within
social psychology. If you haven't read Kahneman, Areily, Bargh, and others' original research, then
this book is a great place to introduce yourself to the field. There are not very many
presentational ideas or routines here, as the focus of the book is clearly on reviewing important
concepts and studies in social psychology. The bibliography and suggested reading list are top
notch, and are useful resources for those who want pursue further study.
I've taken one
star off the review because the book contains several typos and formatting errors (one wonders if it
was edited at all), and for the completely unnecessary, self indulgent foreword written by Patrick
Redford.
