I bought this effect directly from Paul. It came with a download and the padlock arrived a few weeks
later. The pdf ebook download was well written and included a few routines on how to present the
effect. The lock itself is where the problem starts. Paul has personally hand picked these locks and
in are no way gimmicked. The locks however, are not 100% surefire.
I am able to open the
padlock with ANY combination the spectator chooses but with a different combination from what the
spectator set. Although being able to open a locked combination padlock is already a feat by itself,
I was hoping that the combination numbers where the padlock opens was the same combination the
spectator set.
Sad to say, I am putting this in my magic drawer since it doesn't work 100% for
me.
The effect itself is great if the padlock included worked 100%.
Still do try it
because the padlock you receive may work for you since no 2 padlocks are the same.
I don't understand how you can get the lock open but the numbers aren't the same as it was set to on a none gimmicked lock doesn't make sense. Wonder if the numbers way different than what it was set too or just one number off? Maybe the lock is defective? Are the numbers ever the same as it was set to or hit or miss? That is very strange?
I would like to explain here but that would be exposing the secret.
sheesh...I'm seeing these kinds of complaints a lot.
I may hold off, not sure yet.
