I just received N Card and its just amazing card trick. You need some practice but like any other
card magic,this one is not that hard but the results are amazing. The only downfall is that if you
do not understand the language than you have to stop the video at certain points to understand what
the performer is doing. It is a must to have this dvd. Penguin Magic should had made sure that it
had subtitles before selling it to their best customers like myself.
Are any arts and crafts required? AKA splitting cards?
how can you give something FIVE stars when its not in english. I was very unhappy when i realized that there were no subtitles or dubbing. I really like the gimmicks but 20 bucks plus shipping is ridiculous. i called penguin and they said they didnt know but how could they not (they dont watch the videos they put out? especially videos from other countries.) penguin told me that they would help me when they figured it out with the creator or seller, but that would take a long time. doesnt make sense and selling it is the same as lying to your customers and i have been and still will be a fan and loyal customer of penguin, but i feel like i got hustled. this is the only thing i have commented or reviewed on ever and i have been a customer for at least four years and ive bought quite a bit of stuff.
i left this as a comment not a review so i know it will be posted somewhere because penguin lies. even on the live chat they told me that it was subtitled obvious that it was a lie, because if they know that it means it was watched by penguin. if penguin sees this i hope they respond to me.
Simply put, this product is garbage! I got my N card from another retailer, not from Penguin, but that doesn't even matter. The fact that the instructions are not in english, however, DOES! Yes, by pausing the DVD at points, you can figure out how to work the gimmick, but not even that can be trusted. The instructions for 'vanishing cards' isn't complete and you'd have to guess that the performer on the DVD is lapping since they don't actually show him lapping any of the cards until the very last one. Also, one of the gimmicks provided in my set has already broke (not very resilient) and there's no instruction on how to fix or rebuild your gimmick should it break like mine did. This product is crap and Penguin and any other retailers of magic should ashamed of themselves to rip off their customers by selling this piece of crap to them...nuff said!
The video looks amazing but I'm glad I read all the comments. The DVD is NOT in English? That is UNACCEPTABLE! Seriously? NOT IN ENGLISH!? If I had bought this, I would be getting a refund!!! Penguin employees can't possibly have the time to watch every DVD so they lie to customers to get sales and then find out the real deal from UNHAPPY customers. What a shame.
