This forcing deck is similar to and uses the same principle as the Mind Power deck. So which one do
you need? Well, it depends. Both decks take the smallest bit of spectator management. If you want to
do a card revelation or ACAAN routine without any fishing or messing around, then this deck is
self-working and foolproof. If you want to play Derren Brown and drag out the suspense before
revealing the selected card, with a small bit of work on your part, then the Mind Power deck is your
pick. I have both, not only because I like collecting gimmicked decks but also so that I can mix
things up. A routine using either deck will make an incredible opener or closer to your mentalism
show.
Oh, one more thing. When I'm feeling really bored and want to challenge myself, I do
a routine using a Koran Deck, which is the precursor gimmicked deck that can't be shown as freely as
the Mastermind or Mind Power decks. But that's just showing off on my part. Cardicians who know
how to do 100 different card forces with an ordinary pack of cards will roll their eyes or laugh
because they look down at simpleton mentalists using gimmicked decks. While they do that and argue
whether the dribble force is better than the riffle force, you'll be watching your audience's jaws
drop on the floor. That's one of the things I love about mentalism using cards. You don't have to
do some crazy knuckle-busting sleight to wow people. Make it easy on yourself and concentrate on
your performance.
In summary, you'll love the Mastermind deck and never use a one-way
forcing deck again.
