water trick that is ruined if you use water! Whaaat? Seems that water warps the polarizer that makes
this trick work! C'mon, Tenyo, really? You couldn't find something that could stand up to water.
Really? Don't buy this until Tenyo comes clean on this. Very disappointed in Tenyo.
Can you add something instead of water? Like mineral oil?
Or vegetable oil?
I agree with you, while the other comment above is valid and can be used as a way of not damaging the polarizer, by not over pouring, Tenyo should always protect many of is illusions from inadvertent miscalculations. I collect Tenyo and have been for many many years, too many to think about. One thing I have noticed is the reduction in quality being displayed from the latest batch from earlier Tenyo items over 30 years I have been collecting. I will always collect Tenyo, no matter what is thrown up by them but disappointed by the Tenyo direction in quality over say, the last 5-8 years is a word I constantly use.
Water or other liquid can possibly ruin the film. Maybe I won’t say. I heard about this even before buying this trick. I didn’t take risks. I show this trick without liquid and it works fine. Instead of liquid, I put cigarette smoke into the bowl. The smoke dissipates with the manifestation of the card. Try it, you will not regret it. Good luck to everyone!
