The method for this effect is blatantly obvious for the spectators, would most certainly not recommend.

I immediately knew the method, and wonder if it's just because I'm a magician. One thing - the plot is illogical. First it's the wrong card (which you can't show them). Then only a piece of the card is the right card - mentalism or magic trick?? The method is interesting, and it might actually work with a whole different presentation that is more logical and less suspicious.

If you take the card out of a deck you’ve been using, no lay person will suspect the method. This is the right way to do the trick.
