How am I the first reviewer for this? I really, really love this trick. Cool premise, cool gimmick,
cool souvenir for your spectator. What more could you ask for?
Here are a couple of
questions answered. There are four different cards provided across the total amounts of gimmick. So,
you can perform four times for a given event without repeating the same rejoined cards. The stock
and feel of the cards do not appear to be official bicycle stock, but they're definitely good
enough. The quality exceeded my expectations. This is a worker. I'm stocking up with refills.
Does this require a "double lift"? How easy is it to do? My slight of hand is a bit sketchy. Thanks in advance!
I never follow the instructions and use my own handling. You definitely can do a handling that only uses a rejoined card. Granted, you won't be able to hand out a normal card for initial inspection, but who cares...are you performing for magicians or real people? And, a real magician wouldn't be fooled by this trick anyway. From the video, it's sort of obvious what you're getting. I can do a good double-lift, but I only have performed rejoined with just a deck and a rejoined card, no duplicate. Over-proving isn't necessary.
Like in the instructions, make sure the rejoined card is selected with your favorite method, then on the side of the card you need to, cover what you need to with your thumb. If you have the cards, then you should know what I'm talking about.
I have other easy handling tips if anyone wants to know.
Additional tips...
Forget the handling in the instructions and go for easy and bold. Rip the card and show that you could put the card back the way it was, but that would be too easy. Show one side reversed as to how you will put the card back together. Then just put both halves into your hand. Lift up the "special" half on one end and start shaking it, saying both halves are working hard to stay together. Go to your pocket and get some "magic dust", while "cleaning up". Sprinkle the dust, show the card, and miracle both halves are together.
