I love this thing. I use it all the time, and it's one of those effects that have stayed with me
through the passing of time.
I love the haunted deck, but I don't like many of the IT
set-ups. This effect is one of the most practical and most deceiving I've found. I normally do this
in conjunction with another haunted effect that the spectator feels on, and does with, their finger
(Static by Dan and Dave, also here on penguin). These two together are absolute killers. I like to
do these towards the beginning, and I clean up the self-contained gimmicks by removing the jokers.
Now, of the two gimmicks this is more convenient and practical. So, if I do only one
haunted effect, this is it. If I do this, I often don't even worry about cleaning up. The gimmick is
pretty much undetectable after it's "turned off"
