Let's set the record straight. The "tell" when using a marked deck is not the design of the back.
The tell is looking at the backs for too long trying to read the markings.
And that's the
problem with this deck. Specifically (and strangely), the numbers read fine, but the suits are just
a little too difficult to read quickly, which means that reading the markings requires more time
staring at the backs.
This is still a good reader back deck. But is it the "ultimate marked
deck" just because they have Bicycle Rider Backs? I say no it is not. There are better ones out
there, and they're all more reasonably priced.
So minus 2 stars for the poor readability
of the the suits, and minus 1 star for the high price (which is the highest price I've ever seen for
a marked deck).
