I love packet tricks. I own darn near a hundred of them from over the years probably. I'm not sure
if there really is a better one to do. This one has it all.
You have cards transposing,
cards that color change and finally cards that go blank and all of this happens so unexpectedly the
spectator never see's it coming, it seams totally impossible. the other great thing about this trick
is it's not terribly difficult to pull off.
If you are not super experienced it will take
practice and confidence to perform for somebody but it is worth the time. It does require multiple
types of counts which is great because if you practice this one trick it will make all of your card
magic better. All of the sleights and counts used are essential for any card magician.
The
only thing I would modify is the count he teaches at the beginning. It is a nice count to learn but
I don't believe it is the best for this trick because the two counts that follow it look more like
ham counts anyway so using a ham count to start makes things a little more uniform but that's just
me being nit picky.
Also it may be fun to swap out the green cards that come with the
trick for for cards with all different colored backs to have a rainbow or maybe write something on
the backs of the cards. Just an extra idea.
If you like packet tricks and want to befuddle
your spectators completely or just want something fun to help you practice card magic this is
perfect. GET IT!
