THE GOOD: This is an extremely well thought out routine. It definitely shares aspects of some work
already available to the community but that doesn't diminish from the legitimacy of the release.
There are a number of subtleties that are welcome additions to the plot - most notably how Watkins
goes about acquiring the "PIN" in an ethical way. The scripting shared for the amnesia sequence is
also extremely clever.
I feel that this is a MUCH stronger framing and treatment of the
plot than "When the Sky Was Opened" (taught in "Jhana") - that's obviously a subjective opinion but
I was impressed by Watkins' application of his "Severance" strategy with regards to a PIN
divination.
Watkins also shared links to two videos to see the routine in action - one of
them even shows how the routine plays in a "worst-case-scenario" when the amnesia doesn't take. I
felt this was a GREAT thing to include.
THE (NOT SO) GOOD: The only real comment I have to
say in the negative is: WHERE IS THE CREDITING?
I noticed a lack of crediting in "Jhana"
and it was reconfirmed in this manuscript. While reading I saw a number of principles and concepts
from the work of Michael Murray, Jerome Finley, Fraser Parker, Peter Turner, and James Brown. Even
if they aren't DIRECT inspirations I believe there's still an obligation on the part of those who
release material to have a working knowledge of what has been shared before (regarding specific
plots) and recognize the work of others who have come before.
Barring that issue I found
"Separation Anxiety" to be a thought provoking read and something I'll definitely work on
integrating into my repertoire.
Thanks Watkins for sharing it.
Best,
Drew
