This is really sad. I was so happy for the existence of a DVD like this, because I live The Trick
That Cannot Be Explained. After ordering, I read some reviews (sadly there are some very suspicious
reviews around, so I had to look for real ones) and most of them said: seems to be a good a teaching
DVD, but it's almost unwatchable because of the English voice over.
I thought: it can't be THAT
bad, it will be ok if you get used to it. But I was wrong. It is really bad. It's a complete mystery
to me, why Vernet did this. It's not only the fact of the voice over itself, everything about it is
wrong. The English is bad, the timing is too late and then there is the translation of humour which
is just confusing.
Why not using subtitles? Why? Why destroying a 4 hour DVD set for
international viewers? I think, that can't be explained, too.
