So to try and avoid spoiling what is an obviously great trick, in the construction of the actual
effect, Casshan actually does something illegal to U.S. tender.
Now, if you have the DVD,
you'll know what I'm talking about. But for those that want to know specifics, let's just say it's
illegal to tear or mutilate a dollar bill.
This is just a word to those who want to stay
on the safe side, as this is something that immediately made me cringe. I suspect you could
substitute it with fake notes, and Casshan also states in the DVD that you don't have to use an
actual dollar bill in the construction.
My advice: get the DVD to learn how to construct a
beautiful effect, but be aware of this one facet
I agree, I just got out of the pen. I did 10 years hard labor with 3 of them in solidary for an unfortunate situation. I happened to be doing a torn and restored that I normally use newspaper for but there was no newspaper to be found so I substitute a legal tender USA One Dollar note. I had no choice since this show was booked a year in advance by a well known celebrity that did not like to be disappointed. How the heck was I to know that she was good friends with the daughter of the person in charge of the US treasury department? The timing could not have been worse as just as I tore into that bill he walked into the room to find his daughter as they were about to leave the party. In that split second I lost 10 years of my life and can no longer use bar soap in the shower. People please heed the warnings this three star review and the OP has articulated.
