This is a convincing matrix style effect. I enjoy working with coins and was pleasantly surprised
to learn a couple things. His thinking on this trick is very good. It will take practice and does
require a table w/ soft surface; however, it's magic that's easy to follow and pretty incredible.
This would be a nice change of pace during seated card work. The teaching could be improved with
better angles and some emphasis/repetition of important moves; but, I certainly got my money's
worth.
Do you have to be seated for all versions?
Also, would this be good for walk around restaurant magic?
Thanks!
Seated is best @dougnagel, but it can be done for walk around if you're wearing the correct attire. He does mention this in the lesson. Personally, I'd be nervous about doing it any way but seated though. But maybe that's because I'm still pretty crappy at magic. LOL!
My opinion? No way to perform this convincingly while standing, and not practical for table hopping (even if seated) given the setup/reset requirements.
I agree with ristori. I'm sure it's a great effect for Mario but it's not really suitable for standup or walk-around... nor is it really impromptu either. I'm sure it can be done. That said the gimmick, though simple can be used for almost any coin effect you do.
Thanks for the honest review, figured you had to be sitting due to the *a*****. Was hoping there was a walk around version since hard to do at bars, pubs
