I'm a sucker for this plot - the 50/50 influence style routine - so I bit.
This IS
clever...BUT my gut reaction at the mid-point of the video was, "but will I actually use it?"
I feel the ad-copy isn't "very fair" in that it doesn't tip the fact that this uses an element
of DR... that isn't necessarily a bad thing if the clean up is solid - but in the basic routine
taught I wouldn't be comfortable with the DR when participants talk about it after the routine is
over.
That said, I really DID like the "Bonus idea" shared where the "Very Fair" technique
is applied to a concept popularized by Michael Murray with his "Universal Force" strategy. This
effectively shifts the focus from the words and the DR becomes MUCH less of an issue. This idea also
opens up the possibilities in the routine and allows you to take it in a variety of directions.
I should clarify as well that the "Very Fair" technique requires you to use THOSE two words
IN ENGLISH (although I'm sure that other combinations may be possible, even in other languages). I
was hoping that the principle was a bit more broad in it's application to ANY words/situations that
you desire but that is not the case.
In conclusion the value (for me) in this release is
that it opens up a technique that I'm sure I'll put some work into. It feels like a great jumping
off point for me to develop further.
Best,
Drew
