At the close of the lecture, questioned by Penguin's Dan Harlan, Banacek reveals that as a youth,
he "was socially inept" because his parents didn't raise the boy very well. That is part of the
beauty of this lecture.
And the strength and humanity that the man reveals to Harlan --
coming right after one mind miracle after another -- shows we can ALL overcome our flaws and
afflictions and pursue our dreams.
He has not only mastered the art of mentalism. Despite
a flawed upbringing, he has mastered the art of being a warm, likable human being, which makes him
an even greater performer. Role model, mentor, ethical performer.
His effects are -- each
one -- terrific, even moreso because he employs sublimely simple yet indetectable techniques that we
should ALL use.
Thank you, Banacek.
You're a great man.
