Sorry, I have to pan this one. It looks like it can be great but the teaching is horrendous. He is
constantly fidgeting with the pieces while explaining the moves. There is not more than a second
where he is not rotating, re-positioning or moving the piece while explaining. In addition his hands
cover a good portion of what he is trying to explain. I find this virtually impossible to watch.
It really needs to be re-shot in a professional manner.
So the product is bad because he is fidgety during the explanation?
I have to agree w the comment - but not the rating. The explanation is really one of the worst I’ve watched...
Magicians need to rehearse their bloody videos before submission or get them reviewed first
The effect is great - but yeah - horrible explanation
In regards to the comment I made.."Confusing as heck" I did say the effect can be great, however, the instructions have to be watchable. If the instructor is explaining a move and is constantly shaking and moving the prop whilst demonstrating the supposed move, it does make it very difficult to follow along. If you buy a book and there are hundreds of spelling and syntax errors within the text, whether it's fair to say or not, the errors do detract from the book and the story line.
Just wondering, despite the teaching being horrible...is it still possible to learn the trick from the teaching? Or is it just too bad?
The teaching is so boring and confusing that I couldn’t watch the explanations till the end.
@Lpe042 - it is watchable but somewhat painful. It’s very bumbly and almost filmed like first edit. For me the teaching felt lazy in production. Can you learn the effect? Yes - but it’s not enjoyable to learn
I'll take it one step further.
Even if you had a good teaching video, this still isn't a TNR that I would add to my 'aresenal' of torn and restored effects.
Neither the effect, or the training info is worth the time and/or money, i.m.o.
instructions aren’t that bad. If you have any common sense you’ll be able to follow the instructions. They aren’t crystal clear but well enough for any person to follow.
I have to agree about the instructions. They are some of the most difficult to grasps due to the continual moving of the pieces during the explanation. I haven't even attempted this effect, once, yet, myself. Perhaps some day I'll be able to devote a decent chunk of time to learning this effect.
