In the interest of full disclosure, I’ve known Adam since we were kids. However, I’ve never seen him
give a full lecture and was pleasantly surprised to see him doing something for Penguin. The only
thing I knew was that every time I’ve mentioned a trick or idea to Adam, he’s had either had a tip,
a subtlety, or an approach that is not only novel, but also useable and effective. So I knew this
was going to be good, and it definitely was.
This lecture is full of material that is both
powerful and practical. There’s one tip he gave me a few years ago that I use all the time, and the
section on IT is worth the whole price of admission. Even if you don’t do IT work, or use every card
routine, etc. there’s some great ideas that are worth knowing to apply to other work. Without giving
too much away, there’s a secret weapon he mentions for customizing a trick in a crazy good way :)
The methods he explains are all well thought out, but what I got even more out of were the helpful
hints he dropped along the way (including one seemingly small thought about a Sharpie that really
smacked me in the face!)
Well worth it!
