This is a world class material. Maybe Mr.Blake's narrative is not always smooth - in part, due to
mild language limitations - but those willing to bypass that will find pure gold. First of all, I
find his presentations are just classy, elegant - not an imitation of classy and elegant, but for
real. Secondly, the material he shares is very practical - it is obviously thought-out on a deeper
level than average, and sure enough proven and polished in public performances. I find there is
really a remarkable economy of resources - only the necessary is left to create the effect, the rest
has to be you (performer). His center tear method must be the best I've come across so far, and the
script he uses for it is brilliant. This is the first proposition of a center tear motivation that
make sense to me - usually polite audience feel something cheeky is going on there - but this
presentation really brings a center tear to another level. Truly classy, graceful.
Mr.Blake recalls an episode of his life in which he faced a probable misjudging in a
competition, and it comes across like the episode had an impact on him. I join those who share this
opinion: Mr Blake, it really truly doesn't matter - this is a total smoke, and at the end of the day
what is special and worth finds its way into the space it deserves. With your recent DVD release
(which I pre-ordered from the original source, but unfortunately - and alarmingly - never
received!), with this PenguinLive lecture, and hopefully with your upcoming releases, you will
undoubtedly influence a generation of non-Spanish-speaking magicians, and it just cannot be
otherwise when there is THIS kind of quality at work. Meanwhile, I look forward to your release of
the nailwriter!
