Dan Harlan got strong criticism from the Escape Artist community for releasing this DVD. Largely
because he is not an escape artist.
Well, I am an Escape Artist, and I will tell you that
Mr. Harlan did his homework. This DVD shows how to put together an escape artist show down to the
smallest detail. Performers new to magic or escapes can learn a lot of good routines here. Magicians
and escape artists with years of experience will probably not learn any new magic here, but Dan
teaches better lessons than that.
The important parts for me was Dan showing how to set up
a small case to carry all the needed equipment for a 40 minute show. Dan shares some secrets of how
to arrange the routines and how to make a show that flows from one trick to the next. For me this
was the important part.
Two thumbs up to Mr. Dan Harlan.
