...watching this is enjoyable. I like him a lot, but this lecture left me a bit cold. The main
routine that starts with a new, sealed deck requires you to be able to do a perfect F... Shuffle. If
you can do that under fire every time, you will like the series of effects that can be performed
afterwards. The real highlight of this lecture is his "Blessed Poker", but if you have "A Book in
English" or "Woodyland", you will already know this. I had hoped for some material from
"Memorandum", but he mainly cited "A Book in English".
So, if you are new to Woody's
material, this lecture can give you a good first impression of the kind of magic he does. I'm not
really disappointed with the lecture, because he has some useful advice along the way (as is often
the case in lectures), but I'm not enthusiastic either.
