This effect is one which I was most glad to have obtained. The effect is magical and the HOW is wonderfully discreet. The 'something' that makes this work, gets introduced and later, hidden in the hands most natural movements. Every action here is normal, and the gaff just blends into those movements. Before and after the effect, card is 'clean'-hands clean, and it's a joy to perform. Naturally, folks may stoop to look below the card as it floats. I keep my arms and hands naturally low-and don't let the card hover for too long. I push it back 'down' before anyone can see. Card levitations like this, and Hover card, present the Magi with the issue of angles, and crowd control. The performance situation will naturally help determine which method out of several one will employ to make that card float. To get truly 'clean', and eliminate the potential for spectator peeking or snooping, we all have Loops to use. For a clean card rise, Loops, or Kundalini Rising by Jeff McBride. Frequent Flier is I believe a very well conceived levitation, not to be overlooked. It comes with 2 cards, red and blue and a routine. I prefer the Blue card as it provides better camoflauge than the red, discreet as the gaff may be. Once seen and understood, one may make additional gaff cards. I made black back Bicycles ones, as these truly eliminate any chance of the gaff being seen. And to be clear, the gaff is so well configured that no one will know of it. The card cannot be instantly examined, but switched on the deck-which is often the case with special cards. The instructions refer to being able to levitate a card from the deck itself. How to accomplish this is not indicated or explained. Nor could the gaffed card easily rise from the top of the deck, if at all. Checking videos, scarce few exist for this trick, beyond a set of hands floating the card in what appears to be a workshop, with table and tools in the background. In any case, this I believe is a worthwhile version of levitating card, and worth the price. I left out 1 star due to the deck reference, with no elaboration.
