I've come to the conclusion that when Banachek releases something I just get it. His thinking and
routining and subtleties are always first rate. There are very few mind readers I feel that way
about.
ESP opener includes the ESP cards shipped to you, plus a video download (14 min, 38
seconds). Clear, easy to follow instructions.
The perfect opener for walk-around, table
hopping, close up situation.
I love it. Highly recommended.

The effect is good, my issue is that what you received is not what is shown. The cards you receive
are on maiden back cards. In the demo, this is not the case. Buy putting them on playing cards it
puts this in the category of packet tricks. In and of itself no big deal but what attracted me to
this was that it is something different. Also, I had to apply more of the secret something to
make it work. No big deal really but for almost $30 (taxes and shipping) I think more thought could
have been put into it. On the positive it is a good quick little effect that is easy to carry on
you.

This is a fun little routine.
Great to get you going with a mentalism routine.
I've used it
at the restaurant I perform in and it
gets a good response.
Clear instructions with
alternate presentations.
Hey, it's Banachek :)
A PDF with the symbols you need is also
provided.
It's in my show for good...until i wear it out then back to Penguin for another
set:)
I should buy two.

Love the idea, love the reaction and feel it will continue to work once I 'repair' it.. perhaps it's
the hot weather or very poor manufacturing to begin with, but after just a few performances the
cards have completely stopped "working". No amount of technical finesse will reestablish its
ESPness. So buy it, it's really good. But also buy some repair agent once you know the secret...

Like most of Banachek's work, this is a great little routine. Really good for a quick impromptu
effect or an opener for strolling. It's simple but impressive with the right performance.
I
took a single star off because the cards provided aren't the best. They are gimmicked Bicycle Zener
cards, but the gimmick is so-so. One packet works perfectly, the other not so much. However, it's
something you can easily fix with a product sold here or at your favorite hardware store.

Just Purchased this last week or so ago and just back from performing ESP opener for the first time.
The response I got from this far outreached my expectations.
ESP opener is precisely
what it is 'a great opener'
I just love this effect !!

The video: Banachek does a great job of explaining the handling and presentational options without
repetition or superfluous words. He even addresses problems you might have with handling the cards
you get.
The cards: you get two sets, so you can use two different symbols. My sets came
with red and blue backs, not ideal if you want an alternative for walkaround situations. The
preparation in my case is rather “tight”, making it a bit difficult to separate the cards, but this
is not a problem, Banachek shows you how to deal with it. Personally, I’m quite fine with this.
What could be better? Banchek employs a psychological force in one of his presentations. For
this, he uses another card with the five symbols printed on them. It would have been nice if this
card (or a PDF template) was included in the package. But then again, this variation might not be
possible with the force symbols you get, anyway (at least, it’s not possible for me). You might have
to prepare your own sets and try to make up that additional card yourself to be able to perform all
of the variations. This might annoy some people and it brings me to another question: In this case,
as I knew exactly what the trick was before buying, I was mainly interested in the video. Would it
be possible to offer different ordering options, so customers could choose between complete package,
download only and props/replacement sets only? That way, one could watch the video first and decide
afterwards if one would like to have the props, too. (Of course, this would only make sense in those
cases where the gaffs are rather easily made and are not specially printed, for example.)

It's a fantastic opener - it allows me, who started as a magician, to end my magic set and move into
a mentalism set. It's great for walk around and this small packet trick allows me to be a bit more
confident than I normally would with an invisible deck.
