I requested that the rope be "white". I spoke to a member of your sales staff personally and they
assured me they would make sure it was white. I called on the phone and spoke to ERIC and he too
assured me I didn't have to worry. The order was packaged by Eric and I didn't have to worry, I
wasn't going to get the white rope under any circumstances. Even the video shows the trick
performed with a white rope. When I tried to use the device it pulled apart and now is not only
useless and the wrong color but broken. How happy with this performance would you be? PLEASE visit

Had purchased this previously from Penguin as a "throwaway" gag but got lost after a performance.
Purchased recently as an add-on to get to the free shipping minimum, and threw it away 10 minutes
after receiving. What a piece of garbage. Unlike the previous version, this comes as a colored
rope (other version was white...better looking for an "ordinary" rope.) This cheap version was
yellow, and the silk stuck during the transformation, so that constant effort only made the trick
inoperable. Looks like the brand logo is from India. Take your seven dollars and go to a
movie...it will last longer!
This is a very quick but nice trick. It is so easy that you even don't need to learn it! You just
have to have the "rope to silk" in your hands. It is a perfect trick to do for children or while
changing from a rope routine to a silk routine. I must admit that the prop isn't high quality, but
fot 7 bucks it's worth buing.
The rope to silk is a really quick visual transformation. If you do this for spectators, they will
probably know what's going on but really who cares. I like to use this as a gag, but sometimes I do
use it as real magic and it blows people away. Especially if I do it right after a rope routine
where they have handled my ropes. For such a low price, you can't afford not to pick one up.
This was great for beginners since it is almost self working. You'll learn the moves in a short
amount of time. I like the simple tricks like this that allow beginners to practice performance.
This one could be worked into a professional routine in between some larger silk or rope effects.
People forgive the basic prop for good and creative presentation. Oz does a great job of teaching is
one.
This is another one of those effects that we all see at magic shops when we first start out. I have
said it before and I will say it again; these things are classics and have stood the test of time
for a reason.
These things are AWESOME and have SO many possibilities in presentation and
transitions between effects... I can't reccomend the rope to silk enough if you don't have it.
Really easy to do and these things are quality made; they last a long time!
Not to mention
that they are only around 6-7 dollars a piece. If you don't have one now, pick this up.
TITLE and Creator: Rope To Silk.
Effect: The magician displays a rope,(in my case, yellow)
he reaches up to the rope, and pulls his hand downard, to reaveal a large red silk.
Price:
For the price, this is quite an effect!
Teaching: Once again, Oz does great!
Quality of materials(if it is a gimmik etc): The silk is of good quality, but the rope seems
kinda cheap, and the gimmick messe up on me, took me hours to fix it, THE DAY I GOT IT!
Difficulty: INCREDIBLY simple, if it wasn't for patter, you could be performing this in 10
minutes.
Applications: Great for small stage shows, not really grand enough for a large
scale show, and i wouldn't really perform it on the street.
Overall Rating: 8/10 the
gimmick is a bit shaky, but for the effect, im willing to fix it!
This is a simple almost self working trick for beginners. Limmited practice will allow most to
present within an hour. Add this in with a series of rope and silk tricks. It is weak as a stand
alone.
very easy to do trick, the kids love it. worth the price..
This trick is a great visual trick, and you can't beat the price. It requires almost no sleight of
hand, and you will be doing it like a pro within minutes.
