I understand that there may be new principles here that are interesting to magicians and mentaists,
but from the layman’s perspective the routine is very long and procedural. I think as magicians we
often lose sight of what the effect is. If a magician can read a mind from a name written on a
billet or duplicate an image, I feel it’s underwhelming to identify which hand contains an object
after a a very long procedure that is several minutes long. I much preferred Tequila Sunrise,
especially the one in the pdf that accompanies the download where you can use multiple spectators.
Just my 2¢.

Patrick takes 3 similar principles, and shows how they can be used to create lovely showpieces, for
stage or close up.
In my opinion, the trailer doesn't quite do this project justice (and
the trailer looks pretty good!)
There are lots of extra ideas, tips, and kicker endings included
that you don't get a glimpse of. Every trick you see is really well routined, with multiple
revelations and a great structure.
Pros:
This is workable stuff; you really
can perform everything here in the real world.
No sleight of hand needed.
Very
organic; you can perform these routines anywhere, using 3 or 4 borrowed objects, and it doesn't feel
forced.
You will find stuff on here suitable for a stage performance.
It is a
masterclass in presentation. While the methods are clever, the psychology and scripting really make
this something special.
Cons (though I don't think these should stop you getting this
project):
Some memory work required, though it's fairly simple.
Not self-working
(though nobody claimed it was!) You will need some performance skill to present these properly, so
not recommended for total beginners.
Overall, it's a great project, and you will use
things on here. It's an instant download, so what are you waiting for?

I've been trying to discover a
mental monte routine with Bob Hummers - Mathematical Monte. (Which I 1st discovered on Jim Diamonds
1st Penguin Lecture. 1:26:00) I had no idea sunrise is a steroid version of that principal.
To my surprise when Redford covered not just the routine you payed for, but variations for
Stage, variations of principal, Origin of principal. With this knowledge and the knowledge of other
effects. You have as short or long a routine you want.
Plus you always this effect with
you.
Showmanship: 10 - There are no props and nothing to mentally taxing to achieve this
effect. One really can focus their mind on the audience.
Creativity: 9 - Although it
is not Patrick's principal, (Seriously even the great David Blaine did not create the tricks by
himself on his specials.) he gives 2 hours and a multitude of options to incorporate into your
repertoire. Plus in depth exploration of the other principals.
Deception: 8 - This grade
is assuming you yourself are an expert at adding smoke. Smoke must be added to muddy up the
principal. Smart logical people can see the puzzle and reverse engineer. In which case, I recommend
the Triune force. (Covered in this tutorial 01:22:00)

I have bought a lot of mentalism tricks these past two months and Sunrise is one of my least
favorite. It think it is too easy to back engineer the trick (at least for the first part). There is
also another trick we can perform over the phone and I tried it. After I got it right, the immediate
reaction was that there were calculations made. It was too obvious I never read his mind. About the
main trick shown in the trailer (finding the $100 bill by eliminating hands), I suggest you never
bet your money on this trick because if people do not follow your exact instructions, you'll lose.
You may good at crowd management but there is always a risk. I don't think this is worth the $20 I
paid for this download. On the plus side, it enriched my knowledge about a few basic principles.

If you like people's mentalism you will love this. So easy to do but so killer. Not only do you get
great routines but you will figure out your own based off what you learn.

I admire Mr. Redfords work and like to thank him for sharing his... "trick" - No! It's not a mere
trick but a very clever and versatile concept with multiple possibilities and extensions!

I had debated with myself to get this for a couple years.
After purchasing a book and enjoying
the possibilities of performance ideas it contains, the author credits Patrick Redford and SUNRISE.
I have other releases of Patrick's and I find them to be quality materials for my use also, so this
is not a purchase but an investment.
Patrick's teaching style is well paced and easy to
follow. He uses good visual techniques for instructions so you can follow along with ease.
This is easy enough for those begining in the mentalisim field, it will help with learning
audience management. If by chance your success rates are not happening (and be honest, mentalisim
needs audiences to practice, mirrors just don't reflect the same areas of needed improvement), work
on your scripting. Use the tried and true script that Patrick shares and your results will be
successful before trying to rewrite and change things (if you are in the beginning stages of this
art).
Epic trick, very useful and versatile. You can create your own style with this amazing trick
Sunrise is legit. I definitely see myself using the effect in the promo, plus his thinking pushed me
in the right direction with an effect I've been creating where objects need to be mixed up. For me,
this is an absolute win! Thanks again, Patrick!
