This is a pretty straightforward, traditional mini-chop cup routine, so don't expect anything super
innovative or glitzy. But if you're looking for a solid, quick routine to use with your mini chop
cup, one that can be done standing with no table, that only uses one pocket and results in two nice
final loads, this routine has all of that. During the instruction there are some nice tips and
subtleties concerning presentation, delivering the final loads, adding a blowoff effect at the end,
etc. You can apply the same routining to other effects that are variants on the mini-chop cup, such
as Bob Solari's Bunny Hop, or Scott Green's Chop Cap. If you're not doing a mini-chop cup routine
already, this may motivate you to start.

Don't know what I expected but this routine is a standard routine for this type of effect. Tweeked
a little but not much. If you are new to magic then this may be for you but if you have been doing
the single cup "is the ball in the cup or in my pocket" there won't be much new here for you.

Carl makes his living by performing strong commercial magic. His Chop Cup routine is no exception.
The Gold Cup Con is designed for the Walk Around/Strolling Magician. No need to find a table, which
means it can be in your repertoire at any gig.
The professional Stroller knows you've got to get
straight to the point or you have no audience...Carl's routine is just the right length. Not
difficult and well taught, and in my opinion the final loads are impeccable.
I expect to see
more from Carl Royle..."Well done!"

My chop cup had been in the cupboard for 2 years. Wasn't inspired at all by it and was bored with
the routine it came with. However that changed when I watched Carl Gold Cup con. In that moment I
fell in love with the chop cup again and have now performed it numerous times. The God cup con is
fun to perform, great audience interaction, funny and the reactions are incredible. The scripting is
superb and all actions and moves are justified meaning your spectators truly see some magic. Carl
takes you through everything. Honestly you will not be disappointed. it's a worker and what makes it
so much better is no table is needed. Brilliant. 5 stars!

If you are a worker you’re going to love Carl Royle for releasing his Chop cup routine.
I first
saw Carl perform it many years ago at Blackpool and loved it immediately. However it wasn’t on
general release then much to my disappointment. To say I was overjoyed when he released it with his
lecture notes is an understatement. Now it’s a download which is a great thing. I love reading, but
I also like to see an effect I like performed.
If you do strolling magic, restaurants where
there is no table space you need this routine in your repertoire.
I performed the routine last
week at a gig at every table but more importantly for me, I could still perform it for people who
were standing having drinks and Canapés before sitting for dinner. My instinct was right, the
reactions were great.
If you are like me and constantly looking for working material you’ll love
this.
And look out for his lecture notes, the title says it all, I won’t spoil it for you.
Highly recommended.

i have loved performing the chop cup for years and after watching Carls performance its taken it to
a whole new level, well worth the price as the information carl shares if priceless.
look
forward to seeing more gems from you Mr Royle
This is the best chop cup routine I have seen and learnt in years! Perform in your hands so you can
easily perform it anywhere, even walk around. Highest recommendation.
My chop had been in the cupboard for 2 years and never had I dedicated any real practice to it, let
alone perform it in front of anyway. However after seeing Carl perform his Gold cup con at a magic
lecture earlier this year, I bought his lecture notes - I fell in love with the chop cup. The
routine made sense. It had a story. It was fun, funny, and had lots of audience interaction. I now
absolutely love performing the chop cup and has to be my favourite trick to perform. It gets great
reactions every time. I learnt it from lecture note, but honestly buy the download. Carl is a great
teacher and will take you through every element of the routine. Can't rate this enough! :)
