I love this wallet. It is so simple and effective. Everything looks natural when using it. And there is almost nothing to go wrong w/ it.

I can totally understand why some people would look at it and say "that's expensive for what you get". But you know what? I like that it is a little pricey. To me, that means fewer people will buy it. Lol

I use this during Palm and Mental readings - and it's invisible to people in that context. They don't even notice it. Which is absolutely what I want. I used this on a close-up magician friend of mine recently and afterwards he asked "how did you do that?" haha

If you're someone who wants the newest and sexiest mentalism/magic gimmick, this isn't it.

If you want something that you can have on you all day, everyday - something that will work reliably and can be used for mind reading and even simple prediction effects - then this is a great choice.

To be honest, I had an idea on what I was getting even before receiving this item. And when I received the UPD, it was exactly what I was thinking of.
Is this a new concept in magic/mentalism? No. However, the simplicity in design makes this item a very useful tool. I have other items to gather a spectator's information which are really cutting edge like the Telethought Wallet and The Informant but the problem is that those devices need some kind of setup, reset or special lighting conditions.
Pros:
1.) With the UPD, I can place it in any regular wallet with some slots.
2.) I can perform without any elaborate setup (all I need are normal business cards and I'm set).
3.) And with the UPD, there is no reset time because I am instantly reset for the next performance.
4.) The quality of the item is top notch. The material will last a lifetime.
Cons:
1.) The price I believe is too steep. Maybe $15.00-$19.00 would be reasonable. Again, this is not a new concept in our craft so charging this much for such a simple item is not right. I could make the same device with readily available materials for less.
2.) The UPD is not examinable by your audience. But why would they want to examine it right? With proper audience management, the idea of the UPD being a magic prop is eliminated.
3.) The UPD might be too thick and tight to place in some wallet slots. Because it's made with some kind of leather, the UPD is a bit thick to fit in some wallet slots. Your wallet will be thicker too if you make your wallet a home of the UPD.
4.) With the steep price, the UPD should have come with a DVD. Instead, you get to a link to an online video instruction.

In conclusion, I would recommend this device for someone who wants a full proof method to gather a spectator's information. I just hope that the price wasn't so steep. Mentalists and magicians who do mental magic would benefit from this device.

The UPD is a perfect device for getting the information that you need. There is NO way for anything to fail. Those of us purchasing already knew what to expect so there were no surprises. The UPD can just be slid into a credit card slot and you are ready to go. I had to work it into my wallet but once it fits you are good to go. I have it in my Heirloom Wallet right now. It is a great utility that has its place.

I really don't understand the positive reviews. I own most of the peek devices that came out the past 35 years. But this is one of the worst. The video is very poor and so are the demo's. If you are a pro you can get away with anything but they will choose a better option to get a peek, and a beginner will immediately get busted with this simple method.

Most of the time I love simple method but this one I don't and I also think it has been done many times (also with envelopes, card boxes, busyness cards and so on) and is not original.

Finally went out and tested the Universal Peek Device.

I can't say the word "simple" enough to describe it. If you cannot find use for this item, you are definitely in the wrong business. There have been talks on "suspicion". Trust me, there is nothing suspicious about this. This device is about as suspicious as a double lift. (Yeah, my point exactly)

I honestly psychologically "flashed" both sides just by being casual. And no one knew what was going on. Its that innocent.

The price is in my opinion rather steep. As someone else stated, you CAN construct this or something like it. In Pablo's defense, leather is not exactly a cheap commodity.

Some people may have a sleight issue placing the business card inside. I would personally just added other business cards or other credit cards. Problem solved.

This item is already a part of my show. Since I used something similar, I just replace it with the UPD. The ad copy makes it as if its just for strolling or close up. I can assure you that this is also an ultimate stage weapon.

In a selfish but friendly way, I hate Pablo and Alan for coming up with this because I wasn't the one to come up with it. Great work! I love it.
