The haunted deck is a pretty amazing effect. For this version, you'll have to pick up some
additional supplies but nothing expensive and you can get it almost anywhere. Although this is a
really good version, there are also other versions out there that can be done with any deck. Having
said this, if you are a beginner, you might want to start with this one and eventually you might
want to try other versions and see what's better for you.

looks great on the trailer. I had problems with seeing the 'gimmick'. Therefore one would have to
get creative to hide the gimmick.
The setup is not durable at all. Broke in the middle of
a performance on me twice. Powerful when it works, but improvisation skills are needed for when it
might break on you.

the ghost deck is one of those tricks that, as magicians we are expected to do. This trick is
exactly what you see in the demo and is well worth your money, but it will take some practice to get
it very visual for your spectators

its a good trick, very astonishing but the deck is so very gimicked that there is no chance you can
ever le t people inspect it. and its just the trick where some may ask. A great thought is letting
"it" up your sleve and into your pocket. that way you can tear "it" out if people are demanding
inspection. I am going to do this on haloween and it is really a great trick and treat. i do
reccomend this, unless you'r not a fan of setup. there are many other better products here at
penguin, but this is just fine.
i say add to cart

The Haunted Deck is an old routine but a visually stunning routine. The ghost-like movement of the
deck is graceful and haunting. This trick is almost self working. My 8 year old son was able to
handle the trick. The instructions are clear and Jay does a great job of teaching the construction
and performance. The materials are cheap and can be found at any Walmart. The effect works with up
to three cards. Practice the presentation for a truly frighten performance. Check out Jay's Money
DVD as this trick is taught on that DVD as well. Highly recommended.

I like it a lot. I don't use it that often because I perform in really well lit areas, but it's
perfect for halloween or a creepy gathering in a cemetery! Buy it and save it for that perfect time
and HAVE FUN WITH IT!

The Haunted Deck was the first effect that I purchased that I actually had to make myself. I had
been wanting to make an effect, and this one was perfect!! Construction of the gimmick was very
easy using mainly things I had around the house. I did need to go to the craft store to get one
thing, but I'm sure many magicians might already have this item.
After constructing the
gimmick I then started practicing with it. It's great!! This version of the Haunted Deck works
every time and is virtually undetectable. I even had one person watch me perform for several others
and she still wasn't able to see how it works.
Reactions to it are really strong. It
really looks as if the cards are moving with no manipulation by the magician. I really enjoy
performing it for people that I KNOW are superstitious...it seems to freak them out just a little
bit!!!
One recommendation...if you decide to make one, do yourself a favor and get one of
those old looking decks, like a Bicycle 808 Faded or something. The effect can really be sold based
on the idea that it's an old haunted deck.
A great effect that's easy to build and fun to
perform.

A magician needs to know how to perform this effect with the gimmick, because if you don't have much
experiance there is every chance it might break on you and leave you looking like a fool.

Years ago I first made this for a Halloween party and the results were more than I could have hoped
for. First, make sure you use the materials Jay recommends (I found everything I needed at Wal-Mart
for less than five bucks). Again, use the specific materials he recommends.
The effect is
exactly what it looks like in the tutorial! It's amazing! Practice in the mirror a few times and
it will go well. One time I was performing this and a spec freaked out and yelled, "There's got to
be a string!" He was even more terrified when after looking beneath my hand he didn't see anything!
If you practice and follow Jay's instructions very closely, this is very easy to do and a
great reputation maker. People remember it and talk about it. Add to cart and invest the
time...I've made at least five of these over the years. It's worth it!

if you are going to do a haunted deck, buy loops and do it with that. THat way u have an ungimmicked
deck and IMO its easier and cleaner
