These cards are the classics; unique and archetypal designs from an era of simple fun and elegant design. Interesting to note that the chain has remained an integral part of bicycles since they became popular and it is only in the last 5 years that major companies have started experimenting with belt drives and internally driven (chainless) bicycles.

The Card Back
The back design, originally labeled as #18 introduced in 1899 and discontinued in 1917, was meant to celebrate the technological advancements made on the bicycle at the turn of the century. This deck is printed on premium Bicycle® brand cardstock with the brand's classic Air-Cushion™ finish for optimum performance.

The Tuck Case
The tuck case design for this deck has been inspired by the back side of the first ever Bicycle® brand product packaging. Originally printed in 1885, the Bicycle® brand has become an American icon and is celebrating 130 years of continuous production in 2015. This deck features a vellum tuck stock and embossed tuck elements.

The Closure Seal
A unique tax stamp closure seal is featured on this deck, highlighting the beginning of The United States Playing Card Company history and the Russell, Morgan & Co. business.

"Chainless" Bicycle Deck Report this review

I ordered in a deck of both the red & blue "Chainless" Bicycle Cards. I had excellent service from Penguin Magic, and the Cards are the familiar Bicycle cards we've all learned to love with excellent handling qualities. I've been starting a collection of different "historic" decks. It's just kind of different to play with a deck that has the "appearance" of a deck printed between 1899 & 1917.

Nice Cards, and excellent service from Penguin as always.
