The gimmick is practical and well made. However it does not work for Euro coins (they fit the hole
but are way too hard to bend).

I have been customer of Penguin Magic for many years. I rarely send messege to their customer
service but this time I had to. After only one use of the gimmick it brakes. The quality of the
gimmick is very poor. I immediately sent an email to Penguin Magic's customer service and never
received a repl. They lost me as a customer. Too bad.

This bender is one of the easiest to use I've ever seen. It has significant strength to bend all
kinds of metal. Although it can very stealthily be carried on your key ring it is somewhat heavier
than a regular key so it makes things bulkier. A great buy for people just getting into bending.

Wow!!!
At first it is cheap but made excellent.
Second you take it wherever you go
On
your keys.
It's just genius!!

Even if you only do a simple coin bend in your routine, you owe it to yourself to get the
beautifully designed Benz Bender by Sean Fields. I used to use two sets of Leatherman tool pliers,
and it was a pain. Now I don't. This makes life so much easier. The design will remind you of the
old "door hinge method," but it's so well engineered that you don't even have to have strong hands
to accomplish a realistic bend. The supplied URL has Sean's instructions and routines. I just
chuckled because while I understand and appreciate difficult coin moves--and I'm thinking that the
two he demonstrates are quite difficult--I'm never going to do them. No mind, however, because this
thing goes everywhere in my impromptu mentalism bag. To think that there are devices on the market
that cost hundreds of dollars. This is a great value. Bravo, Sean!

A couple of years after release, with the inventory likely sitting in hot warehouses, and the
material used to secure the working part of this gimmick is... rubber. People complained about the
gimmick breaking right out of the box when this trick was first released. In 2023, mine pretty much
disintegrated in my hands. I cannot fathom the thought process (or lack thereof) that went into
approving a metal bending gimmick that literally hinges on such a thin piece of brittle material.
To be fair, this is not a "real time" device. You are only going to use this to pre-bend
metal before performance. And, although Fields says offhandedly in the tutorial that this can be
done in real time, he mostly focusses on switches. So, no bending signed coins with this.
But that's no matter because, with a broken, separated gimmick, bending anything other than long
flat pieces of metal is pretty tough to do anyway.
Let's see, positives... The box it
comes in is one of those overproduced clamshells with the magnets in the lid. You can cut them out
to DIY card gaffs.
This product was unusable right out of the box. The rubber seam was already beginning to split. I
never even got a chance to try it out. The seam eventually split entirely and rendered the thing
useless. I repaired it with some copper wire but it just didn't really hold up.
I got this item in 2021 and upon opening the product the plastic hinge that holds both key pieces
looked weird. The piece that was supposed to be flexible looked like old solid plastic. After
bending 3 coins the gimmick broke. I contacted penguin support, they helped me and exceeded my
expectations.
I am giving this 3/5 even if the gimmick was working because:
- You can't
really bend coins live
- You need both hands to bend coins
- I doesn't work well with
smaller coins, 25 Canadian cents
Got it and watched it. loved it. You know exactly what you're getting from Sean. the gimmick is
impeccable, works like a charm right out the box, I do not leave home without it. Can be done
impromptu with some spectator management and a little bit of acting. I personally prefer to just
use a nice transfer or even in conjunction with the Xpert Coin Bend by Neil Tobin.
The bender is of HD quality ....
Takes less effort than pliers ....
If any time I'm
in the mood for coin bending ,,,, it takes hardly 12 seconds to prepare ..
GREAT PRODUCt ...
