I've been studying cards, coins, etc. since 2000 and learned a lot of stuff over the years but I'd
always heard that the Royal Road to Card Magic book was a classic but I never read it. I did not
learn much that I didn't already know, but the DVD did what I wanted: it filled in some gaps for
me. I learned some sleights I had not seen on other videos and he gave excellent advice that I
found super valuable on the slip force and the pass that no other DVD ever explained as well. Good
addition to my arsenal of magic DVDs. I liked Rudy's style, so overall I'd give it 4 stars for
great production, Rudy's coolness, and Rudy's slow and deliberate explanation of each sleight and
trick. Good video for beginners.

What can I say? I have had access to TRRTCM over the years in many forms,books,excerpts,video and
verbal but having all of this information so neatly packaged in four DVDs is just about Heaven.Rudy
Hunter is a little dry but just drink some coffee and get around it.
This was one of the first CDs that I picked up in a specific area of magic after asking a variety of
individuals on suggestions...in this case card magic. This set covers a vast range of information
that will be informative for the novice as well as the adept card magician. A nice array of
illusions accompany many of the techniques as they are explained and worked through. Some are fast
to pick up and others will take a fair amount of practice to master well. Some card handling
techniques and tricks are done rather quickly, but can be picked up easily after watching it a few
times repeatedly and/or pausing the disc on your tv or computer as you go along. If you are looking
for a nice variety of card magic, this set will not disappoint! I highly recommend it. The only
other set that I've personally heard may be a bit extensive is the Card College set. Enjoy and

i started knowing literally NOTHING about card magic. i didn't know any tricks, or how they worked.
i got this for Christmas, and was a bit disappointed at the looks. however, once i watched it, it
was incredible. i can do great tricks now, even have made my own modifications to
tricks,flourishes,and other things. very clear as how to do the tricks, and he explains them well. i
only put it down a star because sometimes the trick is hard and he doesn't show you how to do it at
good angles. But as Rudy Hunter says many times in this DVD set, its worth the price of admission.
This Dvd is great for anyone who wants to learn card magic. When you purchase this dvd you will
learn,flurishes,shuffles,forces and much more. If you are a beginer get this dvd because after youll
be a pro with your cards. This dvd will teach you everything but you will have to practice alot to
make it look nice.
I put four stars becuase its a great card magic dvd but when there is hard
moves he dosent take the time to talk about the move.JUST ADD 2 CARD IF U WANT TO BE A PRO WITH
CARDS
Rudy is an excellent teacher; albeit a bit understated. When he explains a move you certainly
understand exactly what he is saying. However, I dropped one star because of what he often doesn't
do.
There were several places where the move was difficult. I suspect it would be
difficult for most people at first. Other teachers, at this point, stop and share a few more
pointers to help you get over this hurdle. Rudy does this occasionally, but not nerely often enough.
He is a skilled cardition, and I think he has forgotten how difficult some moves are at
first.
I just started card magic and magic in general and this video has taught me many techniques and
tricks that have wowed the people I've tried them out on. Rudy Hunter is a great teacher
This is an absolute must for beginners. It has sooooo much great information. The teaching is easy
to follow and you also get tips and pointers that he has learned from working with cards.
