I've been able to write a review on every trick that has come out so far from Coffee Conjuring 2. If
we stopped now with this trick, I would say that the DVD is worth the price... but guess what...
there are still more tricks to come!
So far, every trick has been a solid 4 stars
(effectively 5 stars on someone else's scale... I save 5s for extreme visual mind melters) and this
one is no exception.
Yes, it’s simple. Like mind-numbingly simple. But still… a spectator
grabs some sugar for you and then you do a “guts transpo” (sugar guts, that is) with the two packs…
that’s pretty sweet (pun intended).
Ok, let’s get to the straight-up Q&A…
1. Is
this easy? YES, absolutely. If this is your first Coffee Conjuring 2 (here on referred to as “CC2”)
trick, you’ll want to practice it a couple times first. If this isn’t your first CC2 trick, then
this’ll be old hat stuff. #millenialsgoogleit #oldhat
2. Any prep? YES - it’ll take you like one
or two minutes tops at the coffee shop prep bar or at home. Though honestly, I don’t know why Greg
always says prep bar… I would think that a “Hey man, whatcha doin’ there?” would happen once in a
while. #awkward
3. Any gimmicks? YES - nothing to buy… can be created at the prep bar (see
#awkward). Easy peasy.
4. Sleight of hand? YES/NO - depends on your definition of sleight of
hand. There is one move. Nothing complicated at all. Like Joey Newmagic could totally handle this
one. #nameschangedtoprotecttheinnocent
5. Is this worth doing in real life? YES - It’ll be clean
and it’ll be impressive if presented correctly. Definitely an opener or casual one-trick thing.
Don’t do this for your America’s Got Talent audition. #unlessyouperforminabunnysuit #hipiffsorrypiff
6. Is it worth the money? YES - At the current sale price. At the full price, maybe, maybe not.
If this is your first/only CC2 trick you will buy, then maybe. But if it isn’t, then no. You’ll
understand why if you indeed do have other CC2 tricks. #winkwink
7. How’s the teaching?
Sufficient. My only issue with this trick is this: if you are NOT already a CC2 (i.e. this is your
first CC2 trick), then I feel that not enough time was spent teaching the main move. For me, since
I’ve seen every CC2 trick released so far, it’s more than sufficient. But if this is a one-off
purchase, then I would say that Brews Brothers (Greg and Dave) don’t spend enough time on the
details and mechanics of the move. Granted, it’s a super easy move. All I know is that, in the other
tricks, they spent much more time on discussing the move. To be fair, you have to treat each trick
independently. Yes, it’s redundant if you have every trick… but that’s the price you pay for wanting
to sell every trick as individual tricks as well. I dock a quarter star for this. #soooclose
8.
Should I get this? YES/NO - If you don’t have or don’t plan to get other CC2 tricks, then yes
definitely get this. If you do have other tricks, your call… you already know the move involved as
well as the prep skills necessary to make this happen. If you can’t figure it out still, then get
the trick. Be careful to not smack your head against the table too hard when you watch the
explanation. #wearamagichelmet
9. Anything else? YES - Greg and Grip (that’s what Greg calls
Dave) talk about how they evolve their tricks, etc. I really do enjoy this extra banter that gives a
lot of helpful insight into how a magic creator approaches things. Great stuff! An extra quarter
star for this! #cherryontop
Ok, so that’s my review. I hope that you enjoy Ambi-Dextrose
(Greg, it is indeed a clever name). This is a 4 star trick… but I docked a quarter star for not
teaching the main move enough… but then I added a quarter star for the insightful discussion great
for creators to hear. Congrats, guys, on another great trick!

This is easy fun and practical for the environment it is presented. It isn’t something you’ll do
table hopping but as a piece you can prepare on the spot it is strong and fun.

I love effects that you can learn quickly and implement. Even more, I love learning new moves that
can be used for other routines. This is so fast and easy you will be performing today and the moves
will be used for so many great things. My mind is spinning. This is great.

Is this effect really worth 5 stars? No, the effect is worth 4 stars cause it's better than average!
(remember 3 stars is average) so why did I give it 5? Simple, what I got was an above average effect
but a SUPERIOR video! Way more than just an explanation for a great effect! Reasons on why,
explanations of evolution of magic effects, philosophy! It was almost as if the effect were a side
thing that they threw in. So many great points for the video as opposed to a great effect. This is
one of those put in your back pocket effects to be done at a certain local, but the video is pure
gold! Ask for 5 stars, well you can ask but, you'd better deliver and they did!

Many of the Coffee House Conjuring tricks from Gregory and David rely on items available only in
Starbucks. Others are extra good because they will work in just about any restaurant. Ambi-Dextrose
will work just about anywhere food and beverages are served. It should even work with condiments
where salt and pepper are supplied in little packets.

So you need to do some set up prior so not totally impromptu unless you preset and have some of
these always ready to go in a briefcase or something. Good video, great idea's on the presentation,
people are amazed by it. Video drags in the middle a bit when they go into history and explaining
how they come up with ideas etc. but you should watch all the way through to see how the set up is
done on the fly etc. I like this trick, buy it.

Yet another wonderful coffee house piece by Gregory Wilson.
This is a jaw-dropping colored sugar
transpo that is extremely visual and easy to perform. Best part, you end clean.
This is
going right in my wheel-house.
BUY NOW!
Thanks Greg and David!

This is one of the best "impromptu" tricks I've seen in a while.
Greg goes over some really
important lessons on misdirection and the only "move" is so covered you won't believe it can work.
BUT IT DOES> I'VE ALREADY DONE IT!!!
I highly recommend this for your back pocket arsenal

Grab your rucksack , sleeping bag, and tent and head off to your local coffee house, this is magic
that can be done on the fly, ( yes prep needed) but all taught in house,
Great teaching and
reminiscing from Greg & Dave.
Yes I believe Greg “ could be Harry Potter”
