This is similar to a trick I saw in Genii a few years back that is actually better than this presentation and probably uses the same method.
Whats with that creepy patter? Gross

I don't know about you but I miss playing with straws at restaurants. When I was a kid paper wrappers on straws were not tight on the straw. The efficiency craze in manufacturing has made straw wrappers so tight you can hardly get them off the straw.

In the old days you could tear off the tip of a straw's paper wrapper, insert the exposed straw into your lips then blow, shooting the wrapper across the room!

I also remember squishing all the paper to the very end of a straw before removing it. If you used your straw to add a drop of water to the wadded paper you could make it come alive and wiggle like a worm!

I haven't found a fun use for the modern paper wrappers on straws for years. Until now. And for a limited time only, since some areas are banning plastic straws...

Run and get this FUN and AMAZING magical effect from Greg and Grip!

Make your straw wrapper into a cool gimmick to blow YOUR spectator's mind right out of their head!

Greg and David keep coming up with ingenious tricks with ordinary objects from Starbucks and Grasping at Straws is another great effect.

I absolutely love torn and restored plots. This fits the bill and uses properties that are built into Starbucks straws. I love that they discovered this principle. It’s genius!

Very simple and the gimmick is beautiful and invisible at the same time.

The spectator clearly sees a torn straw sleeve with the straw sticking out of it, but moments later, the straw sleeve is restored and both the straw and sleeve can be examined.

Seriously, this trick is great, but I HIGHLY recommend the entire Coffee House Conjuring set.

Do these guys never stop coming up with incredible coffee shop magic tricks? Gregory and David have done it once again, an amazing minor miracle with a plastic straw. Magic with coffee cups, sleeves, sugar packets, stir sticks and now plastic straws - what will be next? But wait, you can do this at a fast food restaurant, why? Because they have straws too!

Grasping at Straws is a really great and visual torn and restored trick with very little quick and cheap prep. Free! Gregory and David again do an amazing job as usual teaching you the effect with lots of close-up shots so you don’t miss anything. You will learn some great patter and scripting to really sell this illusion of course with some comedic relief to add that little extra bit of fun. You will also be taught a few different handlings, feel free to use the one that feels better for you.

This is a fun, amazing and super easy magic effect using a plastic drinking straw. Don’t pass this one up, it’s REALLY good!

Got Straws? You open and re-seal one! Report this review

No kidding. You clearly show a sealed straw to your spectator, tear it open, Really open! Fold the paper down open! Then--before their wide-open eyes--you re-seal the paper, and they can have the sealed straw.

This is a little jewel that you do at your neighborhood Starbucks. One of Greg and David's Coffee-House Magic series of tricks. Might work at other places too, you be the judge. Surely you can find a way to do it at home at your next poker-night.

Like they always do in these Coffee-House mysteries, their explanation goes way beyond the basic miracle and into the realm of: "How I can think about the little details of any of my effects to make them play their absolute best before my audience." Little tips I never thought of before. Buy the trick, get a valuable lecture thrown in free! Why not?
