I've been doing the old 3 Color Monte for 20 years and it never fails to get strong reactions. People are totally surprised when they see that 3rd card turned over.

Normally, when I purchase a trick, I wait until it comes in the mail and then go out & perform it in the real world at least a dozen times to gauge the reactions, review the angles, etc...

This is the first review I've done without waiting for it to arrive in the mail, and I've done dozens of reviews. The reasons are plenty.

1) It's a fresh take on an age-old trick.
2) It's commercially entertaining & easily holds both
kids' & adults' attention, which is a constant
struggle in magic, especially in a restaurant with so
much noise and things going on in the background.
3) Alvo's presentation & storyline (patter) goes hand-in-
hand with the secret sleights which must be performed.
He gives the reasons why he is opening the doors he
does within the story line. It's brilliant.
4) Even for a beginner, the sleights involved are very
easy to master. How does one hour of practice sound
for sleights you'll then use for the rest of your life
with many other tricks as well? For all you working
pro's out there, just like me, I don't know about you
but I've been looking for an alternative handling for
one of the sleights involved, that being the bottom-
for-top flipover move. It accomplishes the same result
but gives the reason, within the story line, why
you're doing what you're doing without drawing undue
attention to it. Alvo, it's flawless & brilliant.
5) It's so inexpensive at this price that with the
specially-printed cards & shipping costs included,
Alvo can't possibly be making more than $.10 per trick
6) Just in time for Halloween, too. I've been waiting for
a long time for something to come along to replace the
3 Color Monte. I'm so excited & can't wait for this to
arrive.

Well, what a surprise! I didn't like this effect at first. I watched the trailer without sound and yawned at the handling.

Shame on me! You'll love the campy story. Zombies are all the rage. Your spectators will have lots of fun. Kids LOVE this!

And, hey, Halloween is right around the corner, so, add some Zombies to your holiday fun!

Get this. Highly recommended. Dan Harlan adds a lot to the handling of the old Color Monte trick. You'll be glad you got this!

Alvo has taken the classic 3 card monte to a new level of entertainment, creativity and fun. What’s old becomes new again with some really cool printed cards and new story and patter lines.If you already perform Color Monte or did once upon a time, this is really a no brainer to learn however there are a few different subtleties and variations you may not be familiar with. Good ‘ol Dan Harland does a great job of teaching this effect with very simple to watch and learn instructions. This is a no brainer for someone already working with cards as well as a great new trick for beginners as you will learn some great moves and techniques you will take with you forever. Because of the beautifully printed cards you will receive it's not like your performing another ‘card trick’. You will receive both a male and female zombie card, use either one for different audiences you will be performing for.

Whether you buy it now for your upcoming Halloween shows or just something unique and different to entertain your spectators with, it is well worth the buy. There are so many zombie fans out there, I’m sure they will get a kick out of this beautifully crafted routine.

Anyone familiar with "Color Monte" will recognize this three card trick. The moves are easy and if you have ever done "Color Monte" you will be ready to go out of the box (with some small touches). It will be a nice piece for halloween, but I can't see using it much other than that. Of course any worker knows that there are more gigs than hours around halloween, so for five bucks it is a bargain.
You may have a character that deals with Zombies more than I do. If that is the case, this might be of use to you on other occasions.
The only problem I have is that top/bottom turnover move that really looks like what it is. It seems even more obvious to me for some reason. There are other ways to to this and I would encourage anyone to seek them out. They are out there.

This has its places. It's the old foil diamonds $14 card trick with a modern zombie twist. Worth having as the performance and cards are better in the download and the mail you get than what you see on the screen in the promo. It is a fooler. It needs to be done faster than the demo. It's a solid buy and has its places! You cannot make this yourself at this quality. I will keep it for those odd moments and it will serve well!

I've never worked the three card monte so I love this. Dan Harlan is teaching in this tutorial, I love that too. Dan is great at being straightforward and he is very clear in his direction. The other great thing is this trick is coming out just in time for Halloween. There are some moves to learn and they are definitely doable even for me. The color and design of the cards are going to make it a bit easier also. This is great addition to a Halloween set, but as popular as Zombies are it will be great anytime.

Of course Zombies are year round now with shows like Fear The Walking Dead, but get this ASAP because it is a perfect Halloween entertainment! You probably already do Color Monte, so you already know the moves. But there are a few alternative moves added here, so it is a great value.

Perfect for strolling, and for those impromptu moments when you are at a party and someone says, “I love magic, can you show me a trick?”

You can even make a little cut out Santa hat, attach it to one of the cards, and you have Zombie Claus! You are good to go all the way into the new year!

This is excellent for a Halloween type of magic show. If you have "Color Monte", this is pretty much the same thing just a different design and story-line. Its well worth the money for what you get and it has potential to be a bit darker in presentation for whatever patter you can muster.
