Let me first say that I think David is one of the great magic thinkers of the last 50 years. Also,
his reviews on reel magic magazine are spot on. However, I take issue with this video. David appears
to be a really nice person and he wants to impart as much knowledge as possible in this trick. The
problem is that David decides to go on tangents while he is describing the actual effect. You pick
the cards up to follow him and than you are met with a philosophical diatribe. You simply can not
follow him. The time for magic theory is prior to the explanation of the moves or subsequent to the
moves. You do not add theory while you are explaining the moves in the trick. Don.t get me wrong.
The trick is good. David, please stay on point.

The “Learn “ video explanation has too much verbal clutter which complicates understanding the
procedure. References and acknowledgements to other magicians should not be included when teaching
the way to perform the process as it disturbs and makes it difficult to follow how the trick should
be done. Those comments should only be mentioned/discussed after the full procedure has been
clearly described.

I thought the instructions in the video were a bit disjointed. Instead of going through the routine
explaining each segment one after another he broke it up with showing different moves and history
tit bits which were told about the routine so I found that I have to replay it over and over again
to learn just the routine.I thought these explanations and history comments could come at the end.
Maybe my age 85 has something to do with it.

This is really refreshing. Old school sleight of hand is taught and it is a hard hitting effect.
What feels like a great packet trick can be done with a borrowed deck of cards. I can't wait to
learn this.

David Regal has come up with another winner here! He has taken a classic magic plot and simplified
it, made it much easier to perform, and added a great kicker ending. What more could you ask for?
As always, he does a great job teaching everything you need to know to master this effect
quickly and easily. He starts by showing how to set up the cards right in front of the audience.
From there, he explains how to make every move have a purpose so that it all seems completely fair.
This is a master class on the simple move used here.
Highly recommended!

I love this type of card trick. There are only a few cards in play so it is very easy for the
spectators to follow. You are so far ahead of the audience, they won't be able to piece together the
secret. Also, there's only one move you need to pull this off. David also talks a little about
eliminating unnecessary moves and creating a reason for the moves you can't get rid of. This is a
fine effect that you should seriously consider learning.

This is an incredibly fun-to-do, fun-to-perform trick with a solid premise and beautiful structure.
It's a reaction machine and a great worker for everyone, including walk-arounds. David
Regal is a great teacher and you'll learn all the necessary moves to start performing this one
immediately.
This is absolute boss of a closer.
BUY THIS!

Once again David Regal delivers with a classic of magic made simpler and even more impressive than
how the classic is often performed. He’s eliminated several moves and provided a surprise kicker
ending Which this is quite fun.
There are some moves to learn here but nothing nickel
busting. Basically just one or two moves repeat it so for those who don’t do a lot of card magic
you’ll find this easy to learn. And, their moves you really should know if you’re going to do card
card magic.
As usual, David’s teaching is very clear and straightforward and concise and
done at a good pace and with good camera angles. So it’s easy to learn.
If you liked what
you saw on the video you’re going to find this easy to learn and a really fun thing to have in your
repertoire. Definitely an effect to get!

This is a great jazz Aces effect. David talks about doing this impromptu by stacking the packet but
quite a lot of by-talk would be necessary. Really nice invisible transpo effect with a very strong
and dare I say logical kicker ending!

This is a very simple variation of Jazz Aces with a kicker ending where the indifferent cards turn
into kings. I like the fact that it is ungaffed, but truly looks like it must be gaffed.
David Regal has made sure that every move is motivated. You need to stick close to procedure,
but everything is accomplished with only a single sleight.
The teaching is excellent--David
Regal is a very patient and careful teacher. There has been some criticism that he breaks up the
teaching with short segments of theory. This is true, but it is only about a 16 minute download so
there is not much filler here.
The thing that is really missing here is a recap with a
quick run through. It would have taken a few more minutes to shoot that, but it could have added a
lot of value to learners. That said, this takes nothing away from the value of the trick itself.
You can probably figure it out for yourself, but there is probably a better way to do the
cleanup so that the indifferent cards are ditched and the kings and queens are examinable in the
end. That might have been a nice addition to the trick, but is not completely necessary.
Jazz Aces is already a killer effect, but Davit Regal has kicked things up a notch and actually
made the execution of the effect simpler. As with most Regal effects, he has thought this through
quickly and made sure every move was motivated so that everything looks as above board as possible.
Do you absolutely need to get this? If you are satisfied with your version of Jazz Aces,
maybe not. But take a look at the trailer--what you see is what you get.
The appearance
of the four kings at the end of the trick really sends it home. And in a mere 16 minutes of
teaching, you will learn this effect and have a master class in how to structure and construct an
effect that you will use with your other magic. Recommended.
