When I watched the trailer I said “no way?” It can be done impromptu anywhere, anytime with anything
… paper, napkins, business cards, whatever. No set-up, preparation or gaffs to make, this is truly
organic. This effect involves a principle that you probably already know but disguised in such a way
that it is undetectable. The is no doubt at all in the spectators mind that they controlled the
whole process. Also as seen, this is not a single prediction, it’s a double prediction, what are the
odds of getting them both right … 100%
Another creative and unique effect from David regal,
you will not be disappointed. If you were really going to read minds and predict the future, this is
what it would look like. As always, David does an amazing job of teaching this effect. Words are so
powerful and David teaches you exactly how how to use them to pull this off. There are so many
variables possible and David runs through them all making the outcome of having 2 predictions look
impossible.
You will love and have fun performing this effect and your spectators will love
experiencing it. You can perform this again for other spectators with different outcomes. Great for
parlor, at a party or strolling especially if people talk afterwards as they will have experienced
different predications making this effect more unexplainable and inconceivable. A worthwhile buy.

I'm sorry to say that I was bored out of my mind with this one. "Draw a symbol. Now write another.
One more. Now a couple. Last one." Really? By the time he did his business and got to the
prediction, I had to wake up to see it.
And that's a shame, because I normally love David
Regal's work. But not this one.

Great trick , worth getting for the the wisdom & professionalism given on a certain part of this
trick, that many magicians do badly :))
This section on its own will help many with using this
principal in other effects ( without giving anything away)

You can watch the video and perform this effect right away with business cards, index cards or for
stage, card stock. The psychological subtleties and use of magicians choice are so well done that
the ending prediction comes as a big surprise to your audience. I really like the way David Regal
put this together. It is a great go to trick when you need an impromptu demonstration of your
magician skills or as a planned effect in your show. Very nice and going in my repertoire.

If you’re a seasoned magician you know how this works but David has some fantastic advice and
additions to a classic principle that are very worth exploring. This is simple impromptu mentalist
at it’s finest.

While I don't think this is in no way a masterwork of the Regal one. It does lend itself well as a
masterclass on a well known magical selection process. This selection process is relatively
simplistic on the surface, but the Regal one forces us to examine this otherwise mundane process on
a more cerebral level. This observation can be applied Not just to THIS, but to any trick LIKE THIS.
I found more value in his thinking on THIS process, than I did in the trick itself. Considering the
myriad of ways this principle can be executed the question becomes would I perform Not This.
This!.....I don't know!....Maybe This!

I want to start off by saying that David Regal is cool. He's interesting and spot on with his
tutorials. This illusion is just the tip of the iceberg of what you are going to learn. You get the
psychology and mechanics of something that can be used so many ways. David explains this so well,
you can tell he's invested in teaching you something powerful. I will use this faithfully, it's
perfect for involving your spectator and making them feel in charge. Love it !!!

I do the Magicians Choice like Regal does in this one but with objects and I do it the right way, so
I knew there would not be anything new for me to learn on Magicians Choice.
So I bought
this for the double prediction. But I'm disapointed because it's not always that strong. It depends
on the choices the spectator makes. It is not so good when they don't choose Circle and triangle
together. And I think the reactions in that case are not based on the "not this" but only on the
"this" prediction.
I will probably not use this one but the one I'm using now which I saw
Oz Pearlman do with five objects. Much stronger because you start with just pushing one object and
if it is the right one, you have a very strong prediction.

I enjoy impromptu magic in which any item can be used. This is taught with business cards, but
honestly could be anything. Easily learned through great teaching. Simple to follow and you will be
performing almost immediately .

This is a really good trick. Only YOU can make it a great trick though, as you can see David do in
the video. Best of all, he teaches things wonderfully, so even if you don't end up performing this
trick, it is a great lesson on how to explain concepts so others may learn them.
Especially
note the reference to Hotel 52, and check it out in his book, Approaching Magic. It takes equivoke
to its finest level, and yes...it packs small and plays big. Get this first, though, because great
non-playing card tricks are valuable to have in your repertoire.
