i can understand why you most of you guys dislike it
i bought it in an convention at the
penguin magic booth
and i understand the problem you got
if you want to make the
effect there are reels which could help you and make the disappearance easy and clean ...
but in this version you borrow everything !!!
that the beauty of it !!!
you
must be ready to make a vanish a bit dirty
but i think the solution is in the timing
if
you make the false tra****r and you give the keys right away with the gimmick already on... you
could be ahead of them.
or an other way you just put the keys close to the border of the
table from the beginning of the trick with the ring key close to you so you make the false tra***
and just load the gimmick when you need to... so the gimmick will be hanging out behind the
table...then you focus on the vanish then you come back to the keys (i like this version)
it is a hard gimmick to hold but with a bit of practice...
dont forget you have a
miracle
you just borrow keys and a ring and
Come on you have the holy grail of the
ring flight...
Hope i am clear enough and not spoiled anything
Roddy Mc Ghie is
already a legend in creativity for me
but this one is hard to get i guess.

If this gimmick is “new”- it is exactly what you expect.
As far as being “easy”- you start
dirty, end dirty, and must accomplish two separate loads.
This might be mitigated with
better instruction, but the 26 minute DVD- filmed in a dark pub- *never shows a reverse angle, from
Roddy’s point of view.* There is no close up of either load. And he glosses right over the required
finger palm. (Doesn’t it make sense to show *where to hold the gimmick?!*)
In a short final
scene, he describes (rather than demonstrates) his favorite version of the trick. He says he “can’t
find” the prop he normally uses. He’s in a sweatshirt, but says he’d usually wear a jacket. It all
gives the distinct impression that not a ton of effort went into this DVD, which is pretty ballsy
given the price.
Also, Nick Locapo is in the promotional video, but not the instructional
DVD. I don’t really understand why you’d get that footage and then NOT include it.
I
generally wait for product reviews before ordering, but I’ve been wanting a follow up to my Deluxe
Nest of Wallets. Sadly- this isn’t it.
Thumbs up to Penguin for allowing me to return it. I
could not even recommend this Open Box, though, since I don’t think the instructions provided are
sufficient to actually perform the trick.
(I went with two stars over one because the video
isn't a lie- the trick could conceivably be done, if better instructions become available. But don't
expect it to be "easy.")

This thing is a piece of crap. The vanish is awful and any bozo with a brain can tell the gimmick is
what it is. Sticks out like a purple thumb tip with no way to hide it. The handling is terrible too.
Just buy a reel. Thinking about trying to return it.

Regrettably this isn’t all that useful. Like another reviewer said, you start dirty and end dirty.
There is a possibility with failure where the ring could fall off. I’d say that you are taking a
huge risk by using this gimmick. Stick with a more reliable method.

Awesome trick but I like to see more Close up how the ring is on the set of keys so I can make sure
I’m doing it right and a close-up how you handle it sometimes it’s more helpful seen it and close
up.

I love a prop that's simple, solid and easy to manage because I only have space for a couple of 'em.
This is sweet simplicity and it is fantastic. I'll use this for a kicker ending or call-back. A
routine is discussed at the end of the instructional video that could be a remarkable mentalism
effect with just a minor change to the reveal. If you like the premise, you'll be happy with this
one.

Ok so I'm biased but this is a great effect.
Think about it for a moment, a borrowed finger
ring ends up on someone else's car keys. How amazing is that?!
The gimmick is hidden in
plain sight, I've performed this for several years and it never fails to amaze people.
Honestly can't recommend this highly enough

Simple, but great gimmick, no reel, convincing and easy to handle, highly recommended!!!

The video needs to be redone, He is hard to understand and there are no good views of the handling.
Very disappointed
