I have a "magic" family that refuses to believe I have any powers whatsoever. This one surprised
them. The transformation is actually really fun to perform. Grabbing the spinning card out of the
air is not easy, but the missed grabs are good laugh for everyone. There is a flutter sound during
the transformation, but the audience does not notice it. The gimmick is extremely well engineered,
which is what you expect from Penguin. It is a winner.

I love the visual of this, but it is noisy, make sure you're in a place with background noise
because you can hear the cards talking when the change is made.
Some nice ideas for
routines in the tutorial.

The card itself is really awesome - it does the job, and it transforms to another card as expected.
There are 2 issues that prevents it from being perfect :
1. When the card "transforms" in
midair, it does noise... so it's a bit visible that it changes...it's not as perect as smooth as
seen in Penguin video.
2. Because of the transformation in the air - the card changes route when
you spin it... so it's a lot harder to catch , as if you do with a normal card.
I did the flip
with a normal card - and caught it 9 out of 10 times. With this card , it was 1 out of 10 times...
so it's a LOT harder to catch in mid air.

Let's start with the positive, the trick is very easy to do. The only part that is even a bit
challenging is catching the card from the air. The double impact of back color and face change is
impressive. There is also a well taught tutorial segment on how to switch out the gimmicked card
that can certainly be employed with other card illusions as well as this one.
On the minus
side, and maybe it is just the one I received as these are hand-made, but the "stuff" that makes the
Bipolar trick work may be obvious to anyone with a keen eye. Some of the visual tells can be hidden
through manipulation, but not all.
The trick loses a couple of stars because of this
drawback.

This is an amazing effect. The visual impact is stunning and the only skill you will need to
practice is catching the card. Just don't expect to perform this up close in direct sunlight. If
you're in a bar, dimly lit restaurant, or on the street at night you're all set. The gimmick is
brilliant but it does tend to glare in certain places.

This is a terrific concept and could be a killer at a little distance. It is really well made and
the action is quick and effective. It's fairly easy to learn, after a little practice in tossing
and catching a card.
After rehearsing it and feeling that I had a good feel for it, I
gave it the infamous wife-test. At a distance of about four feet, she noticed two key, VISUAL
issues about it that I'm sure some non-wife-spectators would notice as well. It is also a little
louder than I expected.
I bought this for restaurant work and cannot recommend it for that
venue because of the points I mentioned above. Additionally, it's a one-trick-pony, unless one
makes up several - which the EXCELLENT instruction video teaches.
I won't use it but I'm
quite sure that it will suit those working at a slightly farther distance than table-hopping and
those who can find work-arounds for the problems I found. Still a fantastic concept, though.

Let's start with the positive. Very easy to do (minus the catching of the card [or "2 cards" if you
want to do the one card into two cards trick] in your hand which does take practice). Very easy to
learn! VERY VISUAL card change even when the magician is doing it. Great product, each one is
handmade (so each one you buy will have a different face card. Not sure if you could ask for a
certain face card but I just got a random face card and I'm happy with it anyway) and it's fun to
do.
Now for the negative. The more and more you perform the trick, the more and more chance you
have to break it. But right out of the box, I kept performing it like 15 times over and over, back
to back and it never broke. I just think that if you perform this trick every hour of every day at a
gig, it'll eventually break (which makes perfect sense if you know the secret to this) But it's
super durable so you don't have to spend more money to buy another one! But once you buy the
"special item" (online?) to fix it, it's super super super easy to fix (and they teach you at the
end of the tutorial video how to fix it so it'll last for years)! You have to either have low
lighting or keep flipping the card over and over or the "secret" will flash. And good luck trying to
figure it out in the trailer because you can't 😎. That's how awesome and sneaky this trick is. What
you see in the trailer is EXACTLY what it's like in person! So awesome! Once I got the trick and
found out what the secret was, I was blown away and was like "Dude that's awesome! That's so
freaking clever!". It definitely was NOT what I thought it was. It was genius! Pure genius! In
conclusion, this trick is definitely worth the money, definitely worth performing in every show and
definitely something you can perform either in person or on social media! Highly recommend!

While Tornado remains my favorite, this great. It should be used at the beginning of another trick.
Like pull out a red deck, and realize they gave you the wrong color joker. You fix it quickly. FUN..

This gimmick is fun to play with but I would never attempt to preform this trick in a real world
setting where I did not want to get busted. Maybe if my spectator was hammered or really dumb then I
could get away with this but not under normal test conditions. It is just too blatant and too in
your face to be anything other than a gimmick. People will demand to see it and the heat will be on
the exact item that you don't want to heat to be on. I would not recommend this unless you are just
looking for something flashy to get attention and them moving quickly on to something else.
