I just love this magazine. There are some really great articles to read and learn from and I cannot forget to mention and the free magic effect. It will add to your repertoire for magic performances.

This is the first Penguin Magic Monthly I've received in a while (It's been a long time since I spent $50 in one order) and I was pretty surprised by how much the quality went down.

The Cockroach Pass - Perhaps the worst idea I've ever seen in my life. The only use for this is as a joke for magicians who know you're doing a pass. Don't ever do this for laymen!

One From Carey: Sleightless Card-to-Box
The weakest version of this trick I've ever seen. Spectators will assume a different method. That's not what you're doing, but that's what it feels like you're doing. Expect lame reactions.
And by the way, it's not sleightless.

An Interview with Colin McLeod
By far the best part of this magazine. Excellent interview. Not really the kind of thing I'd typically pay for as I didn't learn much, but I loved this interview. Really makes me want to go out and by everything from Colin that he released.

Not much here you don't know if you've been in magic for 5 minutes although there is another method for the riffling the cards and having the spectator choose one he sees that I didn't know.

Gimmick Included: The Forcing Clock Inspired by Martin Gardner
The second use of this card has some potential for performing interactive magic over zoom or the like. I have some add-ons to it that makes it only slightly obvious. Too weak to be used for venues when you have other choices.
